Question by El Nino: Is a used 2002 Volkswagen Passat a good choice to buy?
I am thinking of buying a used car, and recently a used 2002 volkswagen passat went to tghe top of the list. What do you know about the automobile and would you advocate it?

I have a 02 Passat. I have 80k miles on it and have not had a problem. But I have the 1.8T engine. I have a friend who bought the 6 cylinder model of the same year and has nothing but problems. If it is the 1.8T I would advocate it. The 1.8T with a manual trans gets around 30MPG. I like my automobile very much.
