I noticed this Volkswagen as I was just riding through my local area on the back roads. I was not healthy to stop at the time because I was driving my huge truck, so in the next few days I stopped together with my wife. I know I needed to ask permission from the owner inside the home as this type of thing is uncharted territory for me and my wife to see. She wanted us to leave because she thought we might get shot. I told her it would not happen; besides this is the life of an amateur photographer, get use to it and we both laughed. The people I met inside were very nice about letting me take photographs of the VW. The licenses plate on the back had the year 76 so I adopt that is correct? I should have asked the owners more about the car but since it was my first time doing anything like this I did not want to do anything to burden the hospitality that was extended to me. The past is definitely 20/20.
